What will be confirmed
Linens, towels, kitchen inventory, coffee supplies, toiletries, firewood, and other provided items have not been owner-verified for a bookable stay. Do not rely on an older cabin checklist; use the confirmed pre-arrival guide once reservations open.
Access within the home
This property is not wheelchair accessible and requires steps to reach both the upper and lower level of the home. The garage is the only spot that does not require stairs. Ask about any mobility or access need before booking and we will tell you honestly whether the cabin will work for you.
Layers, always layers
Mountain weather changes fast, and even warm summer days turn cool once the sun drops behind the ridge. Pack layers you can add and shed: a warm jacket or fleece, a light rain layer for afternoon storms, and comfortable clothes for around the cabin. Bring sturdy shoes or hiking boots if you plan to get on the trails.
For the altitude and sun
At this elevation the sun is stronger and the air is drier than you might expect. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and lip balm, drink water regularly, and take your first day at an easy pace.
Food and supplies
Pack anything specific you cannot do without, plus food and trail snacks. A verified list of nearby supply stops will be added after the owner confirms the route and current options.
If you're heading outdoors
- A daypack, trail snacks, and plenty of water for hikes
- Bug spray in the warmer months
- Fishing gear and a Colorado fishing license if you plan to fish
- A headlamp or flashlight for after dark
Season by season
- Winter: warm layers, gloves and a hat, and traction for icy paths. Check current road and weather conditions; property-specific vehicle requirements will be included in the confirmed guest directions.
- Summer: a rain jacket for the afternoon thunderstorms that roll through, plus bug spray.
- Fall: layers for crisp mornings, and a camera for the aspens.
Easy to forget
Phone chargers, any medications, a camera, and an offline map or a screenshot of your directions, since cell signal comes and goes up here.
